Sweet Diaries Book Club Presents an Evening Benefitting the

Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk

(Atlanta, GA) August 2011 – Sweet Book Diaries will be hosting A Flight for a Night to benefit the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Colors of Wine boutique in the suburban Vinings community of Atlanta. Taking part in Flight For a Night allows you to celebrate breast cancer survivors, honor those who lost their lives and support those still in the fight.

Sweet Book Diaries founder, Sheena Murray will be hosting the event to include Live Music by Liz Klein, spoken word artist Aunji Sings, guitar duo the Abdo Brothers, soft harp accompaniment by Melvin Carter and Desmond Johnson. A selection of international wines will also be on hand for tasting. The events will begin at 7pm and tickets are $25.00 per person and can be purchased at www.flightforafight.eventbrite.com

About the Breast Cancer 3-Day
At each Breast Cancer 3-Day, thousands of women and men, including breast cancer survivors, family members, friends and supporters of the cause, together walk 20 miles a day for three days to battle breast cancer one step at a time. For some participants, the Breast Cancer 3-Day is a tribute to those lost to breast cancer, for others it is a rally for loved ones still fighting the disease, and for many it is a celebration of their lives as breast cancer survivors.

Whatever their inspiration, all walkers have the same goal: to raise money to save lives and help put an end to breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) collaborated to initiate the Breast Cancer 3-Day, a series of three-day walks that will raise millions of dollars for the fight against breast cancer.

Representative Morgan made waves when she became the first African-American elected official for the Cobb County district in 2002. Emerging victorious from this and similar political and personal challenges, Morgan has built a successful career and life. She continues to make no apologies and shares the lessons she has learned along her journey of trial and triumph in her book No Apologies: Lessons in Life, Love & Politics.
